Alejandro Rodríguez

Merchant Marine Captain.  Has ample experience (35 years) in matters related to Maritime Safety, and the application and compliance with International Maritime Conventions.  As a Naval Officer, he was assigned to Surface units including Command Afloat, with relevant experience in interdiction operations.  In the Maritime Administration, he was appointed in key positions such as Port Captain and Head of Maritime Safety, allowing him to pursue more in-depth studies of International Maritime instruments and their practical application.

His trajectory of over 20 years as a Naval Surveyor, has complemented his experience in the implementation of new instruments such as the ISM and ISPS Code.  He has also participated as speaker in maritime national and regional conferences.
